When talking about dealing with people, then you are either talking about SALES or PR, the worst two positions you can have!
Ok Ok they are fun at times, but since ppl are the hardest to deal with especially with so many different personalities, mentality and way of thinking, this is a BIG PROBLEM.
It's been 2 months now that I am working with the PR. Not as I expected it to be, where I do the work rather than depend on an agency; but definitly is a hard task working with 3 agencies in different areas of the world and being effective.
But to talk about the fun part of PR: Media Training
With this type of training, you become smart in understanding people, their needs and wants. you also understand the mentality of journalist, thus not falling for their tricky questions especially off the air interview.
"Sir, do you think that Motorola is not doing well in this region?" then you answer, "No, I d on't think Moto is doing badly, etc.... " Whooooooooops you fell for it, and started your answer the way they wanted, rather than saying, "Moto is doing really well, etc..."
One advice I learned is, " don't feel the need to fill in silence, "
So our upcoming events are, WIMAX MEGNA in Dubai and WIMAX MECOM in Abu dhabi!
Let's see how I like PR.
