Annual Dinner

One can easily mingle with ppl of his own background, that is culture and language wise. Getting to know them doesn't need much effort and thoughts of topics to talk about, because the process is so smooth and one is used to relax n talk in his language.

But when it comes to others from different backgrounds, then it gets more complicated.. It is hard to relax cause you have to think of a topic to talk about, try to listen hard to understand all that's going on esp when it comes to JOKES and REMEMBER all those around you and their NAMES, which is surely so hard for me on a first get to know. I always was anxious when it comes to meeting new foreign friends in which I have to speak English with, which aint ma mother language n thus have difficulties enjoying the talk and the jokes.

So... believing at times that this experience is not adding much to me, I find myself that I was mistaken because there is alot to learn far more than I expected. One of which to be at ease with new friends and to enjoy it and not stress about the communication problems because its a matter of time. This I learnt through my experience with meetin new @ friends whom I hang out with from time to time. But last Wednesday the 30th of November, the AIESEC (@) had their annual dinner in which I mingled with each and everyone and felt good knowing that I have those friends and my capability of meeting new ones.

Here is a pic of the handsome guys.. it is blurry cause ma camera isn't working thus used my phone .. GIRLS .. interested ;) just email me hehehehheeh :P

Monday in NY

Well am sooooooooo pissed cause I just wrote the blog n couldn't save it before I lost connection GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr....

So .. for those who know me, I don't like doing thing alone, always prefer hanging out with my friends whom I enjoy their presence. But being here, I am trying to adjust and thus have started shopping alone, but a second opinion is always welcomed.

So as not to lose the last day in NY, I went on a tour to the STatue of Liberty where I met an Auzi professor with whom I enjoyed the whole tour with.

Then I passed by AIESEC US office and met all @ers ... Hey you guys, really enjoyed hanging out with you all..

Last I went to the Grand Central Station which is the most beautiful I ever saw. Well I got there after alot of hassle and confusion with the metro, but finally made it and loved it so much. And I did find a present I have been searching for my adorable friend whom I wish would love it.

Here are two pictures taken by my mobile, since my camera fooled me n didn't work n thus used Jennie's camera. So these are temporarily pictures until I receive mine.. ok ALI!!

New York City

So i've traveled alot , but what's so unique about NYC?

FIRST for sure is Jennifer:) my aiesec friend whom I always feel so happy being with and talking to.

SECOND my first THANKSGIVING with such an adorable group of ppl with whom I have felt at home.

THIRD my new Jewish friend, whom is the first to have and whom I felt that neither religion nor culture can act as a boundary and limit communication between ppl. It is our own identity and personality that really matters...

FOURTH watching the play RENT but as a movie

FIFTH.....

NYC itself!!

It is just so different, many cultures, religions, ethnics, etc .. ALOT OF PPL .. this is New York City where dreams come true .. (well not really but just to make you feel all that happiness n craziness esp for you ALI)

I will keep it low now until am back to Michigan and can dowload the pictures...

Tomorrow inshala I will go to Statue of Liberty, Trade Center and the Arabic/Islamic Center. That would be special :D
