...and Iran too

"Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice both warned of dire consequences if Iran continued its nuclear fuel enrichment."

Iran faces “tangible and painful consequences” if it continues its nuclear activities and the United States will use “all tools at our disposal” to stop this threat, a senior U.S. official said Sunday, ahead of a crucial international meeting on Iran.

He said Iran poses a “comprehensive threat” as a state sponsor of terrorism as well as a nuclear aspirant and so “we must be prepared to rely on comprehensive solutions and use all the tools at our disposal to stop the threat that the Iranian regime poses.” MSNBC

doesn't it sound like the exact same scenario as that of Iraq?

We believe you have nuclear weapon and you are not fully particpating and helping seathe the situation. We believe you are a threat to the world and a base for terrorism thus we will take any actions possible to stop that threat.

Nuclear weapon:

Five countries are considered to be "nuclear weapons states", an internationally recognized status conferred by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT): the United States of America, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, and the Republic of China. Since the formulation of the NPT, two non-signatory states have conducted nuclear tests—India and Pakistan, but India is now granted it. Israel is also strongly suspected to have an arsenal of nuclear weapons, with reports of owning over 100 nuclear weapons might be in its inventory.

So only few countries are granted to have nuclear weapons while other countries should not especially Iran. Even though Iran is being honest about its intention to continue developing those nuclear weapons but use it not as a threat but as a defense system for any future invasion, the US strongly believes it should not acquire any because it will serve as a threat!! On the other hand Israel is suspected to have over 100 nuclear weapons and never was it threatened or even closely checked for its availability...

So what does this message tell us?

and why does some countries are granted the weapon while others aren't?

Why as a country should I not be able to defend my country, when others have weapons that can destruct a nation?

why, why, why....

an AMERICAN expression

We do have, as Arabs, alot of expression that not many understand because it is within the culture itself. And since am in the US, I do hear alot of their own expression which I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT MEANS!!

did I introduce you to my colleague at work? His name is Todd and He was employed almost a month after I did. He is fun to hang out with esp at the office as the sleepy mood I run thru vanishes with his endless jokes.

Today he taught me an expression,

"When Hell Freezes over"

this is used to say in other words, "never" since hell never freezes!!

Interesting huh ;)
